ADMISSION PROCESS AND FEE
Read the instructions carefully and proceed as follows:-
  • Step 1: Visit the official website www.gcharipurdhar.edu.in and click on Admission and Fees and then on Online Admission for 2025-26. Students can also directly click here: https://gcharipurdhar.highalteducation.in
  • Step 2: Register with your valid Email ID and create your account.
    Note: Remember the Password and Phone number entered.
  • Step 3: After Registration, a verification message will be sent to your email ID which has to be verified from your email ID and then you can login with your email ID and Password.
  • Step 4: Fill the admission form and upload the required documents, photo and Signature.
  • Step 5: Submit the Prospectus fee of Rs. 50/- through online mode.
    Note: Application Form will be processed only after submission of Prospectus fee of Rs. 50/-.
  • Status of the application form has to be checked on regular basis by the applicant in order to check if there is any deficiency in the form.The Application will be verified by Admission Committee members and after receiving the invoice on Applicant’s account, he/she has to pay the fee online.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION
The candidate shall submit/attach relevant documents as detailed below with their Admission forms:
  • Photographs: 3 unattested recent photographs (2 passport size +1 stamp size) are required at the time of admission. One passport size photograph is to be pasted in the space provided on Admission Form and the other one on the Student’s Record Card. The stamp Size photograph is to be pasted on the Identity Card.
  • Board/University Certificates: Copies of the certificates of the various examinations passed (matric onwards) are to be submitted, while the original certificates are to be shown by the candidate at the time of admission. If the Board/University has not issued a particular certificate, a provisional certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended will be acceptable, provided it gives the details of the marks obtained.
  • Student’s Record Card and Result Post Card: The student should fill in complete address, subject offered, etc. on the Result Post Card and attach this with the Admission Form.
  • Certificate of bona fide Himachali (for girl students who belong to Himachal Pradesh): Only bona fide Himachali girl students are eligible for exemption from tuition fee.
  • Migration Certificate: Migration Certificate in original will have to be submitted by all the candidates migrating from outside Himachal Pradesh. In case eligibility of such candidates is doubtful, they will be asked to bring equivalence certificate from the competent authority.
  • Candidates who have a gap year(s) to account for in their studies are required to submit an affidavit duly attested by competent authority, stating the fact/reasons responsible for the discontinuation of their studies. In case of a false affidavit, the student’s admission will be cancelled and legal action will be initiated against him/her.
  • Fresh entrants must submit photocopies of Matric and +2 certificates and school leaving/character certificate in original. They are also required to fill in the University Registration Form.
  • In case a student seeking admission has passed the last examination as a private candidate, he/she will have to produce a Character Certificate from a gazetted officer. Care should be taken that such a certificate is not more than six-months old.
  • SC/ST/OBC/IRDP candidates must attach photocopies of their category certificate(s) showing the profession of the father and the income from all sources. The original certificate issued by a magistrate (class I) or Tehsildar must be shown at the time of admission. They are advised to tick the category in the Admission Form also.
Note:
  • Suitable disciplinary/legal action will be initiated against any student furnishing wrong information which would further result in cancellation of admission.
  • All admissions will be provisional unless approved by the University. The college assumes no responsibility for non approval of any admission.
  • There will be strict adherence to the admission schedule notified by the University. No admission will be permitted after the due date.
  • The decision of the Principal will be final and abiding in all matters of admission.

  • All girl students who are bona-fide Himachalis are entitled to full exemption of tuition fee. However they will have to submit the relevant certificate issued by a competent authority in order to avail this benefit.
  • The above fee and funds are subject to change as per HPU/H.P. Govt. notifications.
AGE LIMIT

For admission to the 1st year of Bachelors Programme, the maximum age limit is 23 years (25 years for girl students) on 1st of July of the year concerned. In case of SC/ST candidates a relaxation of three years is allowed. The Vice-Chancellor, HPU, Shimla, may, in exceptional case/circumstance, to be recorded in writing, give relaxation in age up to a maximum of six months to other candidates also. All such cases may be provisionally granted age relaxation of up to six months by the Principal of the college and consolidated list of all such cases may be sent for approval of Vice-Chancellor.
